During the physical distancing brought on by Covid 19, I spent hours in the nearby wild. Here, in the face of our human troubles, nature carries on with abandon. I am reassured.
In most of the abstract landscape paintings of the series, the colours, light and lines reflect the nonetheless perseverence of the wild. And in the midst of it, you may find Waldo, who is usually lost in a crowd, but is, during Covid times, wandering alone.
